This blog chronicles almost 3 months of Eating What I ate. I literally took a picture of every food morsel that entered my mouth during that period. And, in most cases, I gave a written explanation of why I ate what I ate in each of those pictures.
If you are going to Eat What I Eat, you are going to be giving up complex carbs and all sugar and artificial sweeteners in exchange for the ability to once again eat fat in your daily food intake. I don’t eat bread. But, I do eat burgers sourced from free range, grass-fed beef that are wrapped in lettuce and topped with real mayo, uncured bacon, and some melted organic raw melted peanut butter. In fact, I eat some bacon almost every day with no impact to my waistline or cholesterol scores. I also eat a lot of Raw Organic Almond Butter every single day. It is VERY high in fat. And, it is a delight to eat with my Isagenix Undenatured Whey Protein Shakes. Oh. And, my family cooks things in Real Butter….the kind that comes from real cows that have been allowed to range freely in their pastures their entire lives and have never been given hormones or anti-biotics. (We go through an absolute ton of it thanks to the fact that we don’t start sauteing anything until the bottom of our pan is covered with Real Butter or Organic Raw Coconut Oil.)
If you think about it, I think most of us would prefer fat to bread, rice, potatoes, or pasta. If you agree, then Eating Like David Eats is probably for you.
To get started, I strongly suggest you:
1. Read my Blog’s Welcome page which will introduce you to Low Glycemic Eating
2. Start reading the actually daily postings (starting with my very first day) – These postings literally contain every picture of everything that went in my mouth and a detailed explanation of why it went in there!
3. Watch the Video of the Nutrition Doc from Cenegenics explaining why Low Glycemic Eating works
4. Last, but definitely not least: I strongly urge that you watch this 5 minute video chronicling one of our Gulf War Paratrooper Vets as he makes the decision and takes the action necessary to get HIS health and wellness back. If you don’t think you can do it, I cannot help but think watching Arthur’s 5 minute video will prove to you otherwise. What a video!
