David’s Protein Shake

How to make David’s Protein Shake:

IMG_40991.     Put 12 ounces of water in your shaker cup.  Put the little wire ball thing in the bottom of the water before you do anything else.

2.    Grab yourself about 80% of a scoop of Chocolate Isagenix IsaLean Meal Replacement Powder.  This stuff is sourced from free-range New Zealand Dairy Cattle that are hormone free and anti-biotic free….just like the IsaPro mix that I am 04 06 around 4 pmabout to mention below.  The only difference is a bit more bulk (in the form of a few carbs probably) to make it a “meal replacement” powder….rather than a straight forward Whey Protein Only Powder.  Throw it in there…..

3.    Now, throw about the same amount of 2 more scoops of the Vanilla Isagenix IsaPro Whey Protein powder in that same shaker cup.  Don’t get too worried about the portions.  Basically, throw about two scoops in there that are each about 80% or so full.  In total, you should have about the equivalent of 2.5 scoops of powder in there at this point…counting that which was used in Step 2 of this process.

4.    Grab yourself a bit of Raw Organic Flax Seed (purchased from the Living Tree Community. ) Throw about 1.5 Tablespoons of this on top of everything that is already floating on top of the water in your Shaker cup.  You should be creating a pretty good mound of dry stuff floating on top of the water in the shaker cup.  (That is the exact idea!)

5.    Now, kind of dig yourself out an indention in this mound that is shaped like a funnel and doesn’t quite break through to the water below.  You are going to use this funnel shape to safely hold the next couple of ingredients from touching (and sticking to) the sides of the Shaker Cup.  (You don’t want to waste nutrients in your dishwasher, do you?)

04 06 Familiar Place for Almond Butter6.    Now, let’s grab about two tablespoons of Raw Organic (Alive) Almond Butter (from the Living Tree Community mentioned in # 4 above) and secret it in this funnel shaped reserve that we have created.  Perfect.  Nothing touching the plastic!  Great job.

7.    Finally, let’s take a little dab of Honey and put it right on top of that Almond Butter for just a little bit of sweetness.  Now, wait.  If you are really working on reducing your glycemic ups and downs….in other words, if you are still working on your belly….you may want to leave the honey off this little mixture of mine.  But, it does really improve the like-ability of the formula.  And, I don’t think it will cause enough of a spike to merit skipping it in all but the most extreme of dieters.  In fact, skipping the honey may cause you to NOT like the shake.  And, that would be a lot worse than the few grams of nature’s sugar carbs that you are going to find in that honey!  In short, I changed my mind…..everyone should use the honey.  Just don’t overdo it!

8.     Shake the whole mixture until you are sure that the Almond Butter has been Protein Shakecompletely mixed throughout the shake.  Take the top off.  And, down that sucker.  This is not something to spend the next half hour drinking.  (Seriously.  There are chemical reasons that you don’t want to wait more than about 8 minutes to have this thing done and down the chute. ……..NOTE:   It takes me about 40 seconds…..I think….to drink mine.)

If what you have just drank does not taste like the nectar of the Gods, you have done the recipe wrong!  Start over and Do it all again.  You should love this thing.  It is a little slice of Heaven in each of my days!
